Wonderful People
Wonderful People was the theme set to get students practicing with Portraits. Portraiture is one of the hardest disciplines in Photography. To take a good portrait you need the confidence to engage with and direct your model and then it’s deciding how are you going to make it different from the norm. On top of this you’ll need to control your technical aspects of photography such as depth of field and a fast shutter speed to avoid camera shake.
The winning images from our gallery of entries are…..
The people’s vote goes to Helen Martin for this lovely black and white shot. Good use of composition and monotone can always add to a shot – well done.
My vote goes to Teigan Moore for this shot of a priest. It’s great use of framing to include the background. This in turn accentuates the character. Good response to the theme.
