It’s Christmas!

Well done and thank you to all that entered and voted for last week’s competition theme ‘It’s Christmas’. The brief was simple, ‘create a photograph that depicts your Christmas’. As always lots of good entries but there can only be two finalists, a ‘Juror’s Pick’ and the ‘People’s Favourite’ and I’m pleased to say that both are past students of TSoP.

The people’s favourite this week goes to Racheal Jacobson for this picture of a candy cane on a Christmas tree. Well done Racheal, good use of shallow depth of field and complimentary colours which made the candy cane stand out.

My pick goes to Aaron Hayhoe for this picture of a very chilled out dog. As the brief states ‘create a photograph that depicts your Christmas’. I think this picture captures that feeling. it might be a dog but I’m sure we had had a little snooze like that on Christmas day! On top of that the lighting is warm and there is a Christmas tree in the background to enhance that Christmas day feeling. Great response to the theme.
