Control of Time

This week’s photography assignment was ‘Control of Time’. I set this to test our students’ control of shutter speeds. In our photography courses, we look at creating movement and freezing the action with creative uses of the shutter! This task puts that knowledge to the test and the students really performed well.

From the gallery of entries, the people’s vote goes to Christina Murton. A fantastic response to the theme and control of long shutter speeds to create a unique light painting shot. Well done - a well-deserved peoples’ vote.

The entries were so good for this task that I couldn’t decide which one I liked the most! So one of my votes goes to Stephanie Eastlake. A brilliant response to the theme using steel wool, sparklers and a long exposure! Well done.

My other vote goes to Kelly Henderson for this shot taken in London. Really like the composition of this shot and the feeling of a busy wet evening in London. Well done Kelly!
