In this video we review the Olympus LS-P4 and answer the question, is this the best recording equipment for vlogging? Any video needs good sound and that’s no different when it comes to YouTube videos and vlogging. In fact, you could argue that 50% of a good video comes down to having good sound.
When it comes to sound recording in vlogging you can narrow it down to these main things. You need good audio from voices, and that comes from shotgun mics and lav mics. And you need good ambient sound and audio clips to describe the scene or atmosphere you’re in.
So, we’re going to review the Olympus LS-P4 to see how it performs when recording sound as a shotgun mic, lav mic, when recording ambient sound and when recording sound clips for B-Roll.
