Pattern

The task for our students this week was ‘Pattern’. The theme was chosen to test the students’ creativity with their use of framing and composition. Pattern might not sound that hard, but it does require a good eye. Including repeating patterns is a great technique to use in photography and can make the most mundane things look interesting.

We had lots of great images submitted into the gallery, but there can only be two winners…

The people have spoken! Well done to Michelle Collier for getting the peoples vote with this lovely shot that captures the essence of ‘Pattern’. Great job Michelle.

My vote goes to Leo Belloy for this rainy window shot. I really liked this picture as it’s an unusual take on the theme of pattern. Pattern comes in many forms – it doesn’t have to be linear or grid-like and here’s a perfect example of that. Well done Leo!
